The 15th Australian Infantry Battalion, 29th Infantry Brigade, was based on the left hand side of the Bruce Highway heading outbound from Townsville on the side of Bluewater Creek furthest from Townsville.
On 14 May 1942, the 15th Australian Infantry Battalion was located at Roseneath, near Townsville.
